A standalone, sequel novel to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Falling Into You.
My name is Colton Calloway. You've heard part of my story, but it turns out there's more. My little girl, Kylie, is all grown up. Seventeen, beautiful, and talented, just like her mother. And just like Nell, my daughter seems to have fallen for a bad boy, one with a lot of darkness and a lot of secrets.
* * *
You thought you knew the whole story. You thought it was over. Happily ever after for everyone.
You were wrong.
My name is Oz Hyde, and you’ve never met me. I’m part of the story, too, but I’m an aside, a quick line or two you’d all but forgotten about. Well guess what? I’ve got my own story to tell.
Buckle up, ‘cause this is gonna be a hell of a bumpy ride.

As always this is just to let you know before reading my review that I write my reviews as I am reading so I don’t forget anything I wanted to say. So please keep that in mind when you reading this and if it seems like I am making any guesses as to what MIGHT happen this is why.Okay it took me awhile to start reading this book…I am a HUGE Jasinda Wilder fan and LOVED Falling Into You and Falling Into Us but they were SO emotional and heart-wrenching that I was leery of this book. I read a few of the reviews and saw that a lot of people said it wasn’t as gut-wrenching as the first two so I decided to trust the reviewers (which I usually tend to NOT look at reviews and go by what I thought of it myself)…
Anywho so far this has been a great book and I love that we get to see Colt and Nell again…I do however have some issues with Nell in this book:
• She is judging Oz…granted I understand she KNOWS firsthand what Oz is going through (view spoiler) BUT it’s making her look like a hypocrite.
• The way she feels about Kylie getting involved with a “bad boy”…I mean do we have to back and read the things she did to be with Colt???
Then we have Kylie…she is almost literally the best of Colt and Nell, and I even see some of Kyle there too (I’m gathering would have to be from her upbringing with Colt and Nell). She is extremely down to earth and humble even though she has never wanted for anything. Oz brings her to life and as much as he doesn’t want his little girl to get mixed up with him Colt sees this almost from the get-go.
Oz has his “secrets” which honestly by 40% Kylie knows all of them except Oz’s obsession with knowing who his father is. Which brings me to this…I am about 80% sure I know who his father is…I have had a thought of who it might be since about 20% and the further I read the more I am sure I am right. I won’t say who I think it is even as a hidden spoiler but I will say later if I was right or not.
Ben…hmm…at the beginning of this book Ben kind of irritated me, I understand he is “in love” with Kylie but he should have manned up and told her how he felt a long time ago. I am holding out hope that I will like Ben by the time I finish this book…I’m pretty sure I will and I’m also pretty sure I will want to see him get his own book as well.
Seeing Colt as a father is absolutely amazing…I LOVED him in his book and had a feeling he would be wrapped around Kylie’s little finger as she got older and I was right. Their relationship is beautifully written in this book. Even after 18 years of marriage Colt and Nell still have their little bumps in the road but you can feel the love these two have while reading the book. (view spoiler)
SOO…WTF did I just read????? SERIOUSLY … 70% and THIS is what you give me when I have another 30% to read?!?!?! I am speechless right now…there is nothing I can write in here that can express the level of my shocked state. I’m just sayin’ things better get better soon (view spoiler)!
*tears streaming down face* …I hatchu right now Jasinda Wilder…(btw this is a high complement from me…if you can make me hate you while reading your book then you have done your job because I am feeling everything the character is at the moment)
Okay so I’m 99% sure I’m right now as to whom Oz’s father is…there is still a chance I’m wrong but I highly doubt it…
I WAS RIGHT!!!!
I just finished and I LOVED the ending!!! Not only that as I predicted before I was right about Oz’s father, AND I am hoping for Ben to get his own book.
With that said Ben pissed me off through most of this book…I understand where he was coming from but some of his actions were uncalled for but in the end he took the high road and I commend him for that and hope he finds his HEA.
This was an amazing end to this series, but I am holding out hope that Ben will get his story.

Falling Under The Falling Series Book 3 edition by Jasinda Wilder Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Completely different book. But an absolutely wonderful continuation of the series.
This book is about the child of the Colton and Nell. So, it can be read as a stand alone. You don't really NEED to read the first two books in this series to understand what is going on in this book or to enjoy it. However, the background and of the love that you build for the characters in the first two books, will definitely make you fall in love with these kids faster.
This book is about a girl who falls in love for the first time. It is about innocence. It is about having a moral compass enough to wait until you know you have found your other half. It is about balancing life-long friendship with new-found love. It's about discovering who you are as a sexual young woman. And Ms. Wilder handles all of that with amazing clarity.
There is also the POV of the parent. (This is where if you have read the first two books, you will gain a little bit better insight into the parent's position on things.) It's the struggle of when to step in, when to say something, when to let them make mistakes, when to step draw a line in the sand, and when to just trust your child. At some point, as parents, we all face the crossroad of trusting the values that we have instilled in our child. Seeing past the packaging of the guy standing in front of us and trusting that our daughter sees something in him that we will eventually see. I love how Ms. Wilder writes this part of the story.
This book is unique is that is it written in a double narrative from the two leading MALE POVs. You are seeing into the thoughts of the new, wrong side of the tracks, boyfriend, and the thoughts of the dad who is trying hard not to cringe because he sees so much of himself in this guy his daughter is attracted to.
There are points where as a female I was thinking, "OMG! Is that really what is going through a guys mind?" Then laughing out loud because I know that it is.
The love that these men show for this one girl -- as the father that has cherished her from the time she was born and as the new guy who wants to be a better person because she is now cherished by him -- is BEAUTIFUL. The respect between them that makes them both recognize the other ones love for her is what leads to a mutual honesty between them that is inspiring. Every girl needs these two figures in their life -- the father that raises her to know what love from a good man looks like, and a love of her life that picks up where dad leaves off.
This book is not without it's tragedy and heart-ache. Sometimes when you are growing up and stretching your wings, you have to leave life-long friends behind. And that is painful. True life, real life, has hurts and growing pains. This book lets you experience that.
I love Ms. Wilder's books. I read all 4 books in this series in one week. She provides you with a musical play-list in each of her books. This one was not as much my cup of tea as the previous books, but the songs definitely put you in the head of the male characters.
RECOMMEND
